How to increase virtual memory on Windows 10/8/7/vista/XP

HOW TO INCREASE VIRTUAL MEMORY OF YOUR PC ON ANY WINDOWS.


This is a tutorial on how to increase the virtual memory of your PC on any Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.

What is virtual memory? Virtual memory is that part of your HARD DRIVE that is used by the computer as if it were RAM ( RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY). Sometimes when we are playing a game or running a heavy software or multitasking our physical memory falls short on our processes.
Then the PC used virtual memory i.e Using Hard Drive as a RAM.

On default the virtual memory of a PC is no more than a GB or 1024 MBs. That is very low.


This is a very quick tutorial to show you how to increase your virtual memory for free.


Follow the following step:


Step 1) Right click on "My Computer" and Go to "properties".

Step 2) There click on "Advance system settings".

Step 3) A menu name "System properties will open up". There you will see the "Advance" tab, click on it.

Step 4) Under "Performance" click on "settings".

Step 5) A new menu of "Performance Options" will pop up.

Step 6) Click on the tab "Advance".

Step 7) Under virtual memory you will find " Total paging files size for all drives", that tells you
            about your total virtual memory.

Step 8) Click on "Change" and a new menu will pop up.

Step 9) Now select a drive by clicking it. It will be highlighted blue.

Step 10) You have three options but you have to select "System managed size".

Step 11) Click on "set" and that drive is set up.

NOTE: Repeat steps 9, 10, and 11 for all the drives

Step 12) Click on "OK" and select "Apply"

Step 13 It will say that changes will take place after you restart you computer

Taadaaaa Your virtual memory has been increased depending on the size of hard drive you have
